1.1 Items purchased from the Rutland Closet are not for immediate resale.
1.2 Items purchased from the Rutland Closet do not carry any guarantee. We cannot determine the provenance or age of stock and every item is sold as seen so we do not take any responsibility for any faults or issues which occur post sale.
1.3 The Rutland Closet is not responsible for any defects caused by wear and tear occurring post purchase.
Cancellation of orders:
2.1 Customers have 72 hours from order placement to cancel an order. This 72 hour period begins when the order is placed.
2.2 Cancelled orders will receive a refund of the purchase price and outbound shipping costs (delivery charge) but the Rutland Closet will not refund any return postage costs should the item be delivered within the 72 hour cancellation period. See also ‘Returns’ below
3.1 Payment must be made through The Rutland Closet website using a debit or credit card.
3.2 Any basket items which are not paid for within 2 hours of being placed in the basket will be returned to stock.
3.3 Items will be shipped on receipt of cleared funds.
4.1 The Rutland Closet uses Royal Mail for deliveries. Buyers will receive an email when purchased items have been shipped.
4.2 The Rutland Closet aims to despatch items within 3 working days of payment but this is not guaranteed. Customers may collect items which are required urgently.
4.3 The Rutland Closet does not take responsibility for items which are late or lost after they have been shipped.

Returns and refunds:
5.1 As a small business The Rutland Closet cannot offer free returns. Customers are advised to check photos, measurements and sizing carefully before buying and to read the full description.
5.2 Items may be returned at the customers expense and they can also drop off items at our business address. Customers are asked to email The Rutland Closet to inform us of the return and they will be asked to provide standard information for the return process.
5.3 Returned items will be refunded providing they are still in the as-sold condition. The Rutland Closet reserves the right to withhold refunds on items which have been returned in a not-as sold condition.
5.4 The Rutland Closet aims to process refunds within 14working days from receipt of the returned item.
